Well it’s coming up to April 1st and there have been sites which have made changing their pages to something comedic for April fools somewhat of a tradition (whirlpool broadband forums for example). These guys always find a way each year to surprise me with their witty charm and cleverness. I think it’s a great novelty which should be spread all over the internet.

To add to the fun, a few days ago the classification board website was hacked and content changed to something lackluster….but it got me thinking… what would I do if I had the elite skills to hack a few websites on April Fools and change the content to either be comedic or push my opinions onto people?

Now before I start I would just like to say I wouldn’t waste my time actually trying to hack any of these websites and even if I tried, I probably wouldn’t be successful. I’d give my hacking skills a 1 out of 10. If you have 10 out 10 hacking skills, don’t try these either because I’ll get in trouble.

Here are some April fool content changes that I would love to make or see but would not wish anybody do these. I have provided a before and after screenshot. Try and see if you can spot the differences:

Luna Park:
Every time I look at the gates of Luna Park I shudder. The gaping mouth and far from happy looking man face just seems so uninviting. I have never been into Luna Park for this simple fact. It’s as if the park was created by a rapist/pedophile that placed a seducing family fun theme over the eyes of the locals for the sole purpose of inviting fresh victims into a labyrinth of rape.

The current home page for Luna Park

April Fools Luna Park Home Page

Queensland transport department:
One of the biggest things I despise in the world is the Queensland Transport Department. If someone told me I never had to go there ever again and that everything to do with transport would be looked after if I shot myself in the foot… I would shoot myself in the foot. It’s not so much the department itself but just the queues and waiting times heaven forbid you need to get something done.

Current Licensing section of their site

Hotmail
I signed up to hotmail 10 years ago when free email accounts were amazing and revolutionary. Hotmail was such a great service back then… but then competitors came out who provided similar services with less bloat and commercialism. Now I look at hotmail and think… how did Microsoft and ninemsn take this relatively light web application and crap on it so badly with premium levels and other nonsensical political constraints?

Current Hotmail sign in screen

What the hotmail screen should look like

In the night garden
I am currently battling to maintain the intelligence of human civilization by protecting our newer generations from slang/shortcut English and TV shows which provide little to no educational value for infants. Click here to read more about it. In the night garden is a prime example of a TV show that provides nothing for a child except backward steps in aptitude and social development. A smite against this website would be more than welcoming and a point to KOCS.

pfft their current claim of developmental benefits

I laugh at their made up benefit content.
